That Seems To Amaze Me!

In school we are doing this big project called TED Talks. It is when we pica global issue and look at t closely. Then we think of ways to help solve it. I have picked Child Agriculture and learned so much about it then I knew before. Some interesting facts that  I found out were:

. 70% of 132 million child laborers work in Agriculture

. They make up to 5 dollars a day

. They cannot go to school and get an education

. They pick such foods as cocoa beans, cotton, cotton seed, chilies, cantaloupe, bananas, and other fruits and veggies

. Kids ages 4-15 work

. Many kids dies from being cut by sharp tools or being crushed by heavy machinery.

I found this topic to be very interesting because I didn’t know about any of this and about how hard their lives are since the consist of working all day in the hot sun then going home too poor shacks and not getting much food. I hope you know what I now now about how hard life can be for some people.

    Hey Hannah!
That is SAD that 4-15 people work! They should take more care care of them!! They should be fair and treat them nicely, give them food, clothes, a home. I wish I could do something to help them! I always stop and think about the poor whenever I eat happily. Hope they die at young ages is upsetting!
And if they only get $5 for working hard, that is NOT fair!! I say, there should be something done!

That is just terrible what those kids have to go through! It breaks my heart! I think that we need to do something about it. Children should have a life of fun and play. They should have the same rights as any other child does. These poor kids are killed by simple accidents but nothing is done about it. So sad.

    Hi Hannah,
I had no clue that kids ranging from ages 4-15 are actually out there working! That is a great topic to choose for your project, because there are many kids out there who work and aren’t getting their proper needs. I think your blog is great because you have a variety of different topics, and you have some pretty interesting facts too! Great job all around!
