Freedom
I have been laying off the blog lately because I’ve been a little busy. This time I am going to talk about something different. Freedom. You see here in Canada we have lots of freedom and I think that is one of the reasons I am proud to call it my country.
Now to me freedom is having the right to do something your own way and being able to go outside and feel that you are safe and free where you are. Can you imagine what it woud be like to live in a country where there is a war goig on right beside your door? I sure can’t. I would be scared and would never want to leave my house. I could imagine the nights where you could hear the rumbling noises shaking my house and the cries for help by the soldiers. I could hear the young men who were sent out scared and hiding. But I am just thinking because when I wake up in the morning I know i’m gonna be looking at the bright blue sky or the morning coolness on my skin or I will see everyone out working in their yards or sleeping peacefully. Freely.

This is an excellent question to wonder about Hannah and definitely something that we need to appreciate more. You should read a few of the books we have in the classroom like Milkweed and Sold and My Childhood under Fire. These are all about kids who have grown up in terrible situations and yet have come through them. It is an important issue and something we should be thankful for.

Everyone should have a free go and be free to do whatever they are happy with (Not something illegal of course!
Freedom is something good to write about. It really pulled me into your post.

You think like me, people in my class don’t understand me when i say it is a free country. They think of robbers crashing through windows and stealing furniture and food. But NO! I mean that no one should be bossed around!

COOL! I never am able to see clearly through the microscope. But i wish i could see those cells myself. I wish i was in YOUR shoes!!!
I hope you enjoy your lessons and THANK GOD that the weather for you is warmer.
My school is made up of 2 buildings. Top and Bottom. Top is for years 3-6 students. There is the Library, Computer Room,my class, ESL classes (English Second Language) and others. Bottom buliding has classes from Kindergarten to year 2! There is also a computer room there.
My school also has a basketball court and handball courts, trees, canteen, toilets and seats.
Is that all you want to know?
