Science Fair
Our school has a science fair every two years and this was the year. My partner was Taylor and we did which pop has the most acid. We first predicted that coke would have the most acid.
The first thing we did was we went to the store and got 12 nails and a bottle of Pepsi, 7 up, Coke and Orange Crush. We put 200ml of each kind of pop in three cups and put the 1 nail in each cup of pop. We left it for 7 days and took pictures as we went. Here are the results for each day.
Day 2: Nothing was happening
Day 3: The nails were starting to peel
Day 4: The nails were peeling lots and started to get darker.
Day 5: The nails were turning black
Day 6: The peeling was all off and the nais were rusted
Day 7: The coke dissolved the small nail and we took out the nails
This year they added a new part to the science fair which is called application. It is the lat part where you write about what this information is useful for. Our project made us realize how much acid is in pop and in Coke. Acid is something that is bad for you because it wares away your teeth.
