Chapters 11+12

In the last two chapters of the book this is what happened.

*Ponyboy looks through an old yearbook and finds a picturer of Robert Sheldon or otherwise Bob the soc that had been killed.

*Randy comes to see Ponyboy in bed and to talk to him about Bobs death and taking it to court.

*Ponyboy is declared of not killing Bob.

*Ponyboy stands up for himself at the store and scares the soc away.

*Ponyboy is getting bad grades.

*Ponyboy writes his assignment on everything that happened over the book starting at the movies.

For this chapter I chose the word friendship because that is what it talks about. I think that Randy and Ponyboy are starting to get a relationship because they have chats about important issues and talk about how to solve them. Ponyboy is starting to do badly in school. I think that is because Dally and Johnny died so he lost two friends. I also think this because he had lots going on in his life. He saved those kids from the fire and got put in the hospital then got put on bed rest because he got a concussion from the rumble. I really like how the book ends because it talks about how he calls up the teacher and asks if the report could be longer. He then starts to write about Johnny and basically everything that happened in his life or the book. I think that he will write about how Johnny killed the guy and got beat up by the soc and was abused and stuff. I think that Johnny had a pretty rough life but Ponyboy made it better and at least he got to spend the few last minuets of it with him and at least he knew that the greasers had beat the socs and had gotten their rights. That’s all I think Johnny really wanted. I am also happy that Ponyboy anded up being able to stay with his brothers because life would be horrible without him and they protect him all the time. There wasn’t one time in the book where I think Darry meant to hurt him. He just has a hard life and a little anger sometimes like everyone else.

    Hello Hannah!

First off I’d like to say that this is a great post as it refreshed my memory of this book very well. Secondly, your word for these chapters is “Friendship” and you linked it to Wikipedia. It gives many different viewpoints (some debatable) on what friendship is but what is yours? (What makes a friend, difference between friendship and acquaintance and so on…). Lastly, did your name is a special sort of word/phrase? You should find out what type it is, a couple other examples are “racecar” and “Was it a cat I saw”?
